Systems Engineer VI

TSC is seeking a Systems Engineer V in Dahlgren, VA. This position supports the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division.

Responsibilities:

• Solve complex technical problems.
• Systems engineering processes regarding weapon systems requirements/concept development, weapons systems design/engineering, systems computer program development, integration, test, and certification processes (safety and system), information assurance, safety and engineering requirements, model-based system engineering (MBSE), modeling and simulation (M&S) development, and ability to use and populate model-based system engineering tools (Magic Draw, DOORS, etc.).
• Requirement's definition, traceability, verification, generation of system performance, system specifications, system architecture development (functional, physical, behavioral), and definition of system interfaces, conducting system trade studies, and generation of functional requirements.
• Combat system integration and system architecture.
• Knowledge and demonstrated experience with AEGIS Weapons System, AEGIS Combat Systems, to include operational and laboratory / test bed experience.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• 12+ years of General Surface Navy Combat Systems engineering experience
• Active Secret DoD Clearance
• U.S. Citizenship requiredExcellent written and verbal skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Applicants should be detail oriented, highly organized with the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing.
