Status: Non-Exempt - TEMPORARY PART-TIME

Job Description:

IntelliDyne is seeking an Accounting Associate for our corporate office in Vienna, VA to work remote. The Accounting Associate will report directly to the Senior Accountant and will be an integral member of the Finance & Accounting Department. This person will be involved with the accounting and financial functions of the organization. The company has a solid management team and is looking to bring on a leader to assist the team.

The Accounting Associate is responsible for the full-cycle of accounts payable and accounts receivable including but not limited to entering payable vouchers and cash receipts on a daily basis, reviewing company credit card transactions, reconciling accounts related to AP and AR, and managing the check run process and ensuring accurate and timely payment are made. In addition, the Accounting Associate ensures that the financial system is accurate, reliable, efficient, and in accordance with professional accounting practices and government regulations.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:



  • Responsible for standard daily/weekly/semi-monthly, and monthly accounting operations including AP, AR, and reconciliations
  • Combining pdf and electronically filing AP, AR, and anything else to keep the department organized
  • Executes, and maintains sound and effective internal controls
  • Supports theSenior Accountant in the development and management of DCAA financial deliverables including annual DCAA incurred cost submission
  • Managing cash disbursements for payment
  • Managing cash receipts and ensuring timely reporting with AR, following up with clients on outstanding invoice amounts
  • Become an Expert in expense within the Deltek system to allow the company to fully utilize the system to its full potential including but limited to travel
  • Able to watch Deltek videos and always stay up to date on the latest and be able to verbalize those changes to the team
  • Supports the Senior Accountant including but not limited to audit request, ad hoc request, and anything else required


Required Qualifications & Education:



  • 0-3 years of accounting or financial reporting experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
  • Deltek Costpoint knowledge and experience preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel required
  • Experience with MicrosoftOutlook & Word
  • Ability to work in a team environment, maintain a positive attitude, and be a strong team player
  • Ability to be self-motivated and work independently on task
  • Ability to multi-task and take assignments on the spot
  • Ability to problem-solve and have sound judgment when performing duties
  • Organized andpays attention to details with follow-up as needed
  • Strong verbal and written communication skill
  • Handle information with high level of security and confidentiality


Ability to demonstrate the following:



  • Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate across all levels of the company including executive management, program and project management, and internal business operation managers
  • Able to quickly change priorities based on the changing business needs and requirements
  • Able to effectively and efficiently manage ad-hoc requests
