SALARY RANGE: $15.50 - $18.00 / hour

PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT

Assists in the daily operational and data entry activities of a grain elevator.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Answers incoming telephone calls, ascertains nature of call and directs caller to appropriate person or department.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Assists with the weighing, probing and grading of grain both inbound and outbound.
  • Develops a strong understanding of grain accounting software system.
  • Enters scale tickets, contracts and other documents into grain accounting software system.
  • Coordinates payments of grain purchases.
  • Prepare, issues, and sends out contracts, invoices, and checks.
  • Develops a good understanding of the grain business.
  • Opens and routes incoming mail, answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.
  • Maintains a professional workspace and office environment.
  • Compiles records and reports.
  • Operates office equipment such as computer, copier/fax, calculating machines.
  • Purchases office supplies as needed for the office.
  • Ability to work extended hours as business conditions warrant.
  • Attends all required meetings and training programs.
  • Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures.
  • All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law. In addition to base pay, certain roles may be eligible for bonuses, incentives, and commissions.
