M1 is looking for a Director of Quality and Safety with the following knowledge and experience:
M1 Support Services is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Director of Quality and Safety to support our Vice
President/General Manager. This role will focus on providing Program guidance, making recommendations and assisting in
drafting management documentation regarding quality and safety. This position reports to M1's Home office Senior Vice
President; Operations, Quality and Continuous Improvement with dotted line reporting to Fort Novosel Vice
President/General Manager.
Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
* Responsible and accountable to the Vice President/General Manager on all issues regarding Quality and EH&S.
* Has overarching responsibility for the Quality Management, Quality Assurance, and EH&S personnel and functions on
the Fort Novosel Aviation Maintenance Services contract.
* Responsible for managing and implementing the Company Quality Control Plan and Quality Management Plan across
the FT Novosel Aviation Maintenance Services contract IAW the PWS.
* Has overarching responsibility of the management and implementation of the air, ground, and industrial safety programs
on the FT Novosel Aviation Maintenance Services Program IAW Company, PWS, federal, state, and local regulatory
guidance.
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve safety operations, eliminate mishaps, and protect resources.
* Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline work flow processes.
* Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
* Provides technical guidance to maintenance personnel performing aircraft maintenance.
* Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating
to aircraft maintenance operations.
* Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available for planned work and shift coverage.
* Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees.
* Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.
* Monitors employee attendance and performance.
In addition, the candidate should possess the following requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Aviation Maintenance, or related field required.
* Graduate of one of the following US Army courses: Aviation Maintenance Technician (151A), Senior Leader
Course (CMF15 series), Advanced Leader Course (CMF15 series) is preferred and given special consideration.
* Graduate of one of the following US Army courses: Aviation Maintenance Technician (151A), Senior Leader
Course (CMF15 series), Advanced Leader Course (CMF15 series) is preferred and given special consideration.
* 10 years of Quality management experience in a related field, 15 years of experience in a military aviation
environment.
* 5 years of Safety program management/administration experience preferred.
* Current ISO or AS 9110 Lead Auditor certification preferred; knowledge of quality management system
requirements, safety standards and general experience in dealing with environmental issues.
* Comprehensive understanding of aircraft maintenance, safety and quality control procedures in an Army aviation
environment.
* Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a
professional and non-confrontational attitude.

* Must be able to communicate and present briefings to company and customer leadership in small and large group
settings.
* Must possess competent computer skills.
* Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
* Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS.
Physical demands and environmental conditions:
* The environment varies from office to hangar and flight line, necessitating extensive physical activity including
climbing, standing stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and walking.
* Employee may be exposed to excessive noises due to close proximity to flightline and/or aircraft hangars (aircraft
engines, ground support equipment, etc.) requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
