Human Resources Assistant PT/DAYS - Corona Regional Medical Center located in Corona, Ca

Reporting to the Sr. HR Generalist, the Human Resources Assistant will be a member of the HR Department in serving internal & external customers. The Assistant will provide outstanding service to staff regarding policies, benefits, general forms processing, and other HR offerings. He or she will maintain filing on a daily basis and may back up the Sr. HR Generalist with clerical, operational and assigned projects.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. The merged hospitals are now a 238-bed community hospital network comprised of a 160-bed acute care hospital and a 78-bed rehabilitation campus. It is certified by The Joint Commission, employs more than 1,250 trained healthcare workers and has a medical staff of approximately 347 physicians representing more than 40 specialties.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/TRAINING/ EXPERIENCE:

* 2-3 years of continuing advanced clerical responsibilities.
* 1-2 years of direct experience in the Human Resources field preferred
* High School Diploma required
* Human Resources Certificate, associate's degree or higher preferred

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

* Demonstrates knowledge and ensures compliance with The Joint Commission and Title 22 standards and guidelines.
* Demonstrates compliance with hospital policies and procedures at all times.
* Ability to set priorities and appropriately organize workload and complete assignments in a timely manner.
* Demonstrates ability to relate to clinical personnel and medical staff, as well as ability to interact well with the public.
* Must have knowledge of PC and applications.
* Strong clerical skills to include attention to detail, organization, proficiency, productivity and the ability to multitask.
* Demonstrated ability to prioritize workload and to develop an organized plan to efficiently process and follow through as necessary.
* Strong computer application skills to include Word, Excel, and HRIS maintenance. Strong data entry skills.
* Demonstrated knowledge of or aptitude for general HR knowledge to include, but not limited to, recruitment, compensation, benefits, employee relations and general knowledge of employment law.
* Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality
* Work is subject to regular interruptions
* Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
* Must be able to handle incoming calls and walk-in clients
* Must have strong multi-tasking skills and the ability to prioritize
