Applied Controls is a manufacturer's representative of industrial process controls, serving the oil & gas, refining, power, chemical, food & beverage, cement and general industry. We represent quality manufacturers of process controls in the following categories: on-line analyzers, measurement instruments, electrical controls, heat trace/heating systems.

Applied Controls is a subsidiary of FloWorks International, LLC. which is a privately held company located in Pasadena, Texas.

The Application Engineer is responsible for providing pre and post-sale technical support by delivering product proposals, evaluating customer requirements, identifying and resolving application issues.

Some of the exciting things you will do in this role...

  • Enhances team accomplishments and competence by planning delivery of solutions; answering technical questions for client; mentoring team members.

  • Contributes to sales team effort by delivering technical proposals, presentations and demonstrations.

  • Provides technical support to clients by maintaining advanced product knowledge; product training; assisting in process control solutions.

  • Identifies sales requirements by establishing personal rapport with persons in the position to understand service requirements.

  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.

  • Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.

A must...

  • BS Engineering degree with an emphasis in electrical/instrumentation.

  • Effective communications skills both written and verbal for interface with Clients and co-workers.

  • Ability to multi task, use initiative, and sometimes work under pressure to achieve deadlines.

  • Ability to work in a team environment (Field Sales, Engineering, Customer Service, Accounting).

  • Effective computer skills: Microsoft Office Suite and other Company and discipline specific software applications.

  • Organizational skills and time management.
