Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field required (Accounting or Finance preferred). At least two years of increasing responsibilities performing commercial credit underwriting and analysis, or commensurate accounting or finance experience required. Understanding of commercial loan structures and underwriting required. Experience with commercial real estate and commercial and industrial loans required. SUMMARY: Support the Bank's credit and commercial lending functions by actively underwriting commercial requests, modifications, and conducting line of credit and annual portfolio reviews while working with a team of lending and administrative staff to achieve the goals established for the department and the Bank. Possess clear, concise, effective written and oral communication skills to effectively express thoughts, ideas and concepts to bank employees and bank customers. Capable of handling research and special projects, including coordinating with other departments. Detail-oriented and self-motivated to complete required tasks in an efficient and timely manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Initiates outbound and receives inbound phone calls relating to the collection of delinquent accounts. Reduces delinquency, prevents repossessions and/or foreclosure, and minimizes charge offs/charge downs on assigned accounts. Determines reason for non-payment. Completes Skip Trace on accounts to locate customers for which you have not established phone contact to verify phone number, address, place of employment for the maker and co-maker(s) on the account. Reviews all bank systems as needed (FIS/IBS, Image Centre, etc.) to determine the scope of the customer relationship as well as facilitate in the collection of the account. Prepares necessary documentation for modifications, extensions, and file evaluation. Negotiates payment arrangement with borrower(s). Maintains detailed tracking log on all accounts as you work through the collection process. Processes GL and Payment Tickets as applicable when payment is received. Research and resolve billing and/or payment disputes on assigned accounts. Verifies "Proof of Insurance" for collateralized loans as needed. Orders appraisals when appropriate. Analyzes loan/collateral file to make recommendation for appropriate action. Reviews personal credit and asset reports to make recommendations as to appropriate strategy. Organizes and prepare files to be referred for repossession and/or foreclosure. Makes appropriate file notations for all correspondence and any other events to Intellect system. OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Banking is a highly regulated industry and you will be expected to acquire and maintain a proficiency in the bank's policies and procedures, and adhere to all laws, rules and regulations that are applicable to your conduct and the work you will be performing. You will also be expected to complete all assigned compliance training in a timely manner. Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and other computer software. Proficiency in Excel preferred. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as net present value and apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Language Skills Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to write presentations that conform to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The wage range for the Credit Product Officer position is between $55,000-$60,000 annually. The position includes 22 Days of PTO (Paid Time Off), 5 days of STD (Short Term Disability), 11 annual paid holidays, and 1 floating holiday.
