This position offers:

* Starting pay of $18.40/hr. up to top pay of $25.97/hr.*

* Quarterly gainsharing bonus potential

*additional shift differential for off-shifts

What You Drive at DTNA

General Purpose of the Position:

Team members use a variety of tools and equipment to assemble products in the manufacturing and repair of electrical components.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Interpret work orders, production routers, BOM, product manuals and/ or receive verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed.

  • Assemble electronic/mechanical assemblies.

  • Knowledge of ESD handling procedures.

  • Understand and comply with ISO9001 requirements.

  • Operate production equipment used in the assembly of printed circuit boards.

  • Manually position and align components in specified relationship to each other with or without jig, fixture or other holding device.

  • Perform go-no-go testing and inspection to ensure parts and assemblies meet production specifications and standards.

  • Perform intermediate assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, conformal coating, cleaning, epoxy bonding and curing of assemblies.

  • Proficient in the operation of terminal crimping, wire stripping, wire braiding and wire stamping equipment.

  • Ability to utilize hand tools to perform assembly functions (ex. Screw drivers, measuring devices, adjustable end wrench, various crimping devices.

  • Demonstrate competence in the manufacturing of wire harnesses.

  • Must be willing to be moved into various work areas in order to meet production requirements or where skills best serve department and company goals.

  • Box and label product according to standards.

  • Must be willing to work overtime periods including weekends to meet production demands.

  • Participation in team huddles, group projects and one on one communications.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma/GED

  • Years of Experience: 0

  • Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers.

  • Ability to print and speak simple sentences.

  • Ability to read and comprehend detailed instructions and diagrams, short correspondence, and memos.

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.

  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

  • Box and label product according to standards.

  • The ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or your two hands to grasp, manipulate, or assemble objects in close working proximity.

  • The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
