Ingevity's Engineering Co-op is structured around two-three rotations ranging in average length from three-six months per term. Each Co-op term is typically separated with an academic term in between to allow for mutual learning and application of engineering concepts both to your academic and real-world learning. Candidates who apply should be available for multiple terms and should consult with their academic advisor on their availability and ability to participate in such a program. Co-op program may be flexible to back-to-back work terms.

Ingevity's co-ops are on-site full-time positions and participants should expect to work Monday-Friday, up to 40 hours per week typically between 8AM-5PM. Specific norms around working hours may vary based on occasional project assignments and will be communicated by your manager.

Anticipated start dates for Ingevity's Fall 2025 co-ops are August or September.

    What you need to succeed:

    • Students currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree granting program with a major in Engineering with an expected graduation date from May 2026 to May 2027 (or academic sophomore or junior).
    • Students should have completed at least one semester/quarter/trimester of engineering coursework related to their major before starting as a co-op and at least one semester/quarter/trimester of study left in their academic coursework following the co-op.
    • Students available to complete at least two co-op terms with one semester of study in between (i.e. co-op in Fall, go back to school in Spring and return to co-op in Summer). Co-op program may be flexible to back-to-back work terms.
    • Remain in good academic standing in your program of study throughout the co-op experience

    This role is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. The successful candidate must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship to work in the US.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Previous internship(s), work experience, or academic/club leadership experience
    • Experience in a manufacturing or operations environment
    • Bachelor's degree majors in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
