The Trade Desk's Sales Strategy Team is theenablement arm of the global Go-To-Market Team. Our Senior Strategistsare internal consultants working to help identify and scale opportunities to drive revenue, developing expertise inbuilding solutionsfor brands and agencies around our proprietary technology.The Sales Strategy team partners withBusiness Development/SalesandClient Servicesat The Trade Desk to provide high-quality narratives for the products and servicesweofferourclients.This team responds to anddevelopsRFPs and RFIsfor business across the globe.Collaboratingcross-functionally withProduct,Marketing,BusinessIntelligence,Legaland other teams to ensure alignment with sales collateral and The Trade Desk's client-facing materials. These covercapabilities, product features, roadmaps,advertisingsolutions and positioning within the broader AdTech ecosystem.

What you'll do:



  • Learn the business inside and out. You become very familiar withThe Trade Desk's platform, product offering, resources, competitive advantages and, more generally, programmatic strategies.
  • Think strategically. Analyzebusiness proposalsand requests to help identify and create top quality and accurate responses.
  • Be a storyteller. LeverageTheTrade Desk's industry-leading position and technology to clearly and succinctlyarticulatehow we can helpcontribute to client success, tailoring for individual brands.
  • Following a request submitted by the client-facing teams, you will lead theRFP/RFIprocess of pulling together the team and needs in response. This includes completion ofRFIdocuments, plus creation of external-facing materials such as media plans and pitch decks.
  • Work with internal teams to organize and develop the sales teams' knowledge about key companyinitiativesand products, plus seasonal and vertical insights.
  • Partner with sales to understand the prospecting strategy, and toresearchbrands andmarketplacetrends that will focus on opportunities, competition, and positioning.
  • At the core, you will have a passion forsynthesizingcomplex solutionsinto simplified sales narrativeswith an eye towardsrevenue generation.


Who you are:



  • Passionate and knowledgeable aboutsales marketingand theadvertisingindustry.
  • Interested in the most powerful form of digitaladvertising...programmatic.
  • With 4+ yearsof level relevant experience insales development,media planning,digital strategy, sales/corporate strategyorconsulting; ideally within Ad Tech, a media agency, the television or streaming industry or mediaconsulting.
  • Experienced working across several channels, preferably including CTV and DOOH.
  • A customer-focused, strategic andanalytical thinkerwho can execute tactically to formulate a cohesive narrativeutilizingadata-drivenapproach. Experienced inresearchundertaken usingboth internal and external tools which can then be used to develop insights for clients.
  • An independent worker,self-motivatedanddeterminedalso able to work wellwith ambiguity anduse initiativeto get the job done.
  • Anexcellent communicator, with theprovenability toarticulatethoughts and ideas to internal and externalstakeholdersthrough superior written andverbal communication skills.
  • Ateam playerwho participates and leads discussions; share best practices and knowledge with other Sales Strategy members globally.
  • A quicklearner who's able to grasp new technology and product changes and able to turn a concept or idea into substantive sales materials.
  • Meticulous attention to detailand able to produce high-quality work that represents The Trade Desk in-market.
  • Highly proficientinExcel,PowerPoint, Word,Salesforce(RFP/I management software desirable).
  • Four-year collegedegreelevel education.

The actual amount may differ based on non-discriminatory factors such as experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and location. All employees may be eligible to become The Trade Desk shareholders through eligibility for stock-based compensation grants, which are awarded to employees based on company and individual performance. The Trade Desk also offers other compensation depending on the role such as sales-based incentives and commissions. Plus, expected benefits for this role include comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, and vision) with premiums paid in full for employees and dependents, retirement benefits such as a 401k plan and company match, short and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, well-being benefits, reimbursement for certain tuition expenses, parental leave, sick time of 1 hour per 30 hours worked, vacation time for full-time employees up to 120 hours thru the first year and 160 hours thereafter, and around 13 paid holidays per year. Employees can also purchase The Trade Desk stock at a discount through The Trade Desk's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

At the Trade Desk, Base Salary is one part of our competitive total compensation and benefits package and is determined using a salary range. The base salary range for this role is
$69,900 $128,200 USD
