As the Senior Manager, Web & Digital Marketing at Slack, you will define the web and content strategy by understanding our users, our products, and our platform. You will be integral in campaign audits, competitive analysis, and user research to help us build a thoughtful and strategic customer journey. You'll be responsible for driving innovation roadmaps to improve our signup conversion rates and revenue. You will partner with the marketing, design, copy, and development teams to deliver comprehensive and integrated website strategies that increase awareness, drive customer acquisition, and improve product adoption.

As an ideal candidate, you should bring a positive attitude and an insatiable curiosity to continuously improve the user experience. You are equally comfortable taking the initiative on a project as you are working in a cross-functional group. You should be able to discuss designs with your creative partners, positioning with product, optimizations with developers, leads with sales, and strategy with leadership.

Responsibilities

We are looking for an individual well-versed on strategy and execution, he/she will:

Develop User Insights

  • Effectively research, journey map, storyboard, and test user experiences.

  • Conducting A/B testing via Optimizely and similar tools to optimize the user experience.

  • Lead, synthesize, and present user research to stakeholders and cross-functional partners.

  • Use quantitative and qualitative data to back up assumptions and devise comprehensive and integrated digital strategies.

Define Strategy

  • Advocate for the end-user, and understand their needs and desires. Ensure stakeholder needs are aligned and drive towards our company objectives.

  • Develop detailed strategic documentation including competitive analysis, personas, user journeys, and information architecture.

  • Identify, develop or curate unique content that can be utilized across channels.

Measure Success

  • Own, analyze and communicate results including key performance metrics on a monthly and quarterly basis.

  • Analyze page performance and behavior of users on website landing pages to identify areas of improvement.

  • Apply learnings to future campaigns or partner with the Experimentation team to improve results.

Requirements

We're looking for someone with talent and a passion for web strategy that leads to execution and impact.

  • 7+ years of experience in developing integrated strategies.

  • Demonstrated strength in applying statistics, experimentation, and modeling to applied business problems

  • Experienced in and an advocate for conversion rate optimization and performance marketing.

  • Strong user research skills: planning, leading, and synthesis.

  • Experience generating strategy documentation including personas, user journeys, competitive analysis, content strategy, and information architecture.

  • Ability to identify popular themes and types of content our audience would engage with and align them with the appropriate channels.

  • Proficient in UserTesting, Google Analytics, and Google Tag Manager (or similar programs).

  • Plus

    • International experience in a similar role

    • Agency experience

For Colorado-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $141,300 to $194,300. For Washington-based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $155,400 to $213,800. For Illinois based roles, the base salary hiring range for this position is $155,400 to $213,800. Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Certain roles may be eligible for incentive compensation, equity, benefits.
