Overview

Orrick currently has an excellent opening for a Project Attorney in the Global Operations & Innovation Center (GOIC) in Wheeling, WV and consideration given for 100% remote locations.

Responsibilities

* Project Attorneys work alongside associates on litigation and/or transaction projects. Tasks include handling due diligence for our M&A group, corporate tasks for emerging companies group, reviewing leases and title reports for our Energy & Infrastructure department, and managing eDiscovery projects for litigation, and a range of other tasks for nearly every practice area in the firm.

* You have the responsibility to ensure the proper integration of technology at the project level.

* You will maintain knowledge of developments in technology including e-discovery to ensure project efficiency.

* We are devoted to the continuous improvement of the processes and methodologies we utilize to execute document review projects.


Qualifications

* A Juris Doctor and successful bar passage and admission to practice in good standing in a U.S. jurisdiction is required.

* Some practice experience preferred.

* Significant document review experience, including experience making privilege determinations and preparing privilege logs.

* A successful Project Attorney will possess strong supervisory and team-building skills.

* Two years of experience in project lead or supervisory roles, preferably of both small and large teams.

* Excellent communication and interactive skills at all levels and a shown ability to work with a wide variety of personality types.

* Planning and organization skills are important in this role, including the ability to meet deadlines and to lead multiple projects concurrently.

* Do you have the ability to problem solve and make decisions? A can-do approach in these areas is crucial.

* Proficiency in spreadsheet and other office software, as well as litigation support and document review software.

* Good writing skills.

The expected salary range for this position is between $90,000.00 and $135,000.00.

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick's estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
