Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Business Development professional with expertise in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction Industry. The ideal candidate will play a key role in identifying and developing new clients, opportunities, and markets within the Western United States with potential for select national account involvement. Responsibilities will include ongoing client relationship management, strategic market planning, developing sales campaigns, collaborating with capture managers and business unit leaders, and actively participating in community and professional organizations to enhance BRPH's brand and visibility.



Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Contribute to the development of the Company's strategic plan for the region.
* Develop and execute a business development program with short- and long-range goals.
* Function as the communications link for all new business activity.
* Determine new markets to pursue in the region that are aligned with the Company's strategic plan.
* Identify prospective markets and clients; contact prospective client executives and determine their needs.
* Supervise the process of putting together a proposal.
* Conduct research of new markets and team partners.
* Collaborate with the marketing staff in the production of marketing reports, proposals, and informational brochures for the region.
* Coordinate reports and other documentation for ease of retrieval.
* Seek new markets and clients and provide positive public relationships through membership and active involvement in community organizations and professional associations for the region.



Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:
* Currently acceptable procedures and practices of marketing as related to the architectural, engineering, and construction (AEC) professions.
* Operational characteristics, services and activities of a professional AEC services office.
* Federal, state and local regulations and policies for the advertisement and selection processes for Architectural and Engineering Services contracts and Construction Services contracts.
* Modern office procedures, methods, computer equipment, software systems, website design, electronic communications and social networking platforms.

Ability to:
* Manage and administer a comprehensive business development program for a region of the country.
* Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
* Participate confidently at the executive level.
* Organize and conduct both professional meetings and social activities for the purpose of discussing and/or presenting company services and products.
* Work within a flexible schedule, which will include early morning, late evening, and weekend meetings and social engagements for the purpose of remaining active in organizations and associations and meeting with clients.
* Travel out of area and out of state to attend meetings, make presentations, and otherwise represent the company in a professional capacity.
25 to 50% travel required.
* Interact with clients and other professionals appropriately in both professional and social settings.
* Present a professional appearance in both person and products.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
* Minimum of bachelor's degree, in marketing or business administration, engineering or architecture from an accredited four-year college or university
* Minimum of ten years' experience
