Overview of the Position:

The Pricing and Data Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity, quality, and consistency of item master data across the organization while driving data-driven decision-making to optimize revenue and operational performance. This role is responsible for managing and maintaining item master data within ERP systems, supporting product launches through effective PIM (Product Information Management) processes, and ensuring comprehensive bid execution and analysis via Opportunity Management Systems (OMS).

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Coordinate item master data setup, validations and maintenance in accordance with business practices, upload item master information into ERP system
  • Ensure item master data integrity, quality, compliance, and consistency across the systems and shared folders
  • Perform item master data maintenance, such as but not limited to product attribute updates in a timely manner
  • Participate in new product launches as it relates to PIM (Product lnformation Management) management and launch pricing
  • Formulate management techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data; extend company's data with third party sources of information when needed
  • Facilitate Opportunity Management System (OMS) process to ensure quality and comprehensive bid execution, collaborating with relevant stakeholders identified in each process
  • Assist with reports and data extraction when needed; analyze large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns and present information using data visualization techniques.
  • Perform detailed analysis of transaction level data, synthesizing findings into relevant trends and correlations and assisting in the construction and implementation of solutions that drive revenue and margin optimization
  • Participate in design, build and deployment of Bl (Business lntelligence) solutions. Ensure data integrity of Wencor Bl (Business lntelligence) and ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) tools; create and enforce policies for effective data management



Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:



  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies with an excellent understanding of data administration and management functions (collection, analysis, distribution etc.)
  • Continuous improvement mindset with focus on process management
  • Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Access, Word etc.) and experience with SQL and data visualization tools
  • An analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and strong math skills (e.g. statistics, algebra)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision

Education / Experience Requirements:

Bachelor's degree with quantitative focus such as Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
