The Reed School of Media and Communications Online Programs is currently accepting applications for a Recruitment and Enrollment Analyst.

About the Opportunity

The West Virginia University College of Creative Arts and Media is seeking a Recruitment and Enrollment Analyst to drive enrollment and oversee data-driven initiatives for the College's online degree programs. This position is a critical role on the unit's recruitment and retention team and will be responsible for leading the student enrollment initiatives for the College's online programs through dedicated, ongoing analytical analysis and effective data management. This position will be responsible for developing and continually monitoring data-driven enrollment initiatives to improve outcomes for all aspects of the student support team. Primary responsibilities include effectively generating leads through recruitment activities, leading student recruitment efforts and prospect support to motivate inquiries to complete the application process. This will include proactive outreach (phone, email, other), and traveling to tradeshows and in-person recruiting events. The Recruitment and Enrollment Analyst will analyze the effectiveness of recruitment initiatives and proactively initiate adaptations to improve outcomes. Candidates must show strong initiative, exceptional communication skills, work well with the public and have the ability to manage numerous projects simultaneously. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven work environment using a data-driven approach to recruit and enroll students. The position reports to the Program Director of Online Programs.

What You'll Do

Recruitment & Enrollment:



  • Serve as enrollment analyst and student recruiter for WVU College of Creative Arts and Media online programs.
  • Support recruitment, enrollment and retention through the following data-driven strategies:


    • Data Collection, Management and Reporting:


      • Collect, manage, and analyze data from various sources including marketing and lead generation databases, CRM systems, student and alumni databases, web analytics, social media metrics, and email marketing platforms.
      • Ensure data integrity and accuracy by regularly updating and cleaning datasets, as well as for reporting purposes, including the creation of performance dashboards to ensure transparency of key metrics relevant to program enrollment initiatives.


    • Trend Analysis:


      • Analyze trends in prospective student behavior and engagement to identify patterns and insights.
      • Monitor application and enrollment trends to forecast future recruitment needs and opportunities.


    • Performance Metrics:


      • Develop, track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of recruitment strategies.
      • Regularly evaluate recruitment campaigns and initiatives to determine their impact on application and enrollment rates.


    • Segmentation and Targeting:


      • Utilize data to segment prospective students into targeted groups based on demographics, psychographics, behavior, and interests.
      • Develop personalized recruitment strategies for different segments to improve engagement and conversion rates.


    • Predictive Modeling:

      • Implement predictive analytics to identify prospective students who are most likely to apply and enroll.
      • Use predictive models to develop strategies that optimize recruitment efforts and resource allocation.


    • Reporting and Insights:


      • Generate detailed reports on recruitment metrics, providing actionable insights to the admissions team and senior leadership.
      • Present data findings in a clear and concise manner, using data visualization tools to enhance understanding.


    • Continuous Improvement:


      • Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of recruitment strategies, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
      • Stay updated on the latest trends and best practices in data analytics and student recruitment.




  • Track and monitor recruitment metrics and communicate progress to the online programs team. Perform ongoing analysis of recruitment performance to adjust recruitment plans, practices and strategies. Through vigilant analysis and modification of recruitment activities based on all available data, achieve established program enrollment goals.
  • Track and respond to changing environmental factors. Keep online programs team informed of any trends or patterns that may impact program recruitment efforts.
  • Research, analyze and report on new program opportunities. Complete objective competitive research to identify trends and gaps in current marketing for online education. Work with CCAM online programs leadership to propose development in opportunity areas and ensure that development aligns with organizational goals and resource limitations.
  • Report monthly performance metrics to track conversion and recruitment data. Make recommendations for improvements based on analysis of the data.
  • Execute lead generation campaigns for CCAM online programs.
  • Lead undergraduate pipeline initiative, including development of partnership with undergraduate institutions to create long-term opportunities for student recruitment.
  • Build personal relationships with prospective students to deliver exceptional customer service through diverse communications channels in support of their journey from prospect through initial course enrollment.
  • Provide consistent engagement through the admissions and course enrollment process to prospective and admitted students via phone, mail, social media and personal interactions.
  • Plan and conduct recruitment activities both on and off campus (including exhibition at select tradeshows and conferences).
  • Develop, execute, and track post-promotional results of recruitment activities that increase sales; analyze results and provide recommendations.
  • Identify potential barriers within the admission process and initiate steps to resolve them.
  • Accurately and effectively manage a high volume of data and electronic record keeping.
  • Perform other duties and activities as designated by the director and/or assistant director.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Marketing Communications, Digital Marketing Communications, Integrated Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Journalism or related field.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience involving:

    • Sales, customer service, customer acquisition and/or retention, or recruiting/advising role or work experience in public relations, integrated marketing communications or related field (advertising, marketing, communication).


  • Any equivalent combination of related education and/or experience will be considered.(always include unless position requires specific degree).
  • All qualifications must be met by the time of employment.

  • Ability to take direction with minimal supervision and function effectively individually, as well as part of an entrepreneurial team.
  • Bilingual is a plus.
  • Professional work of an independent nature that demonstrates ability to solve problems using data-driven approaches with a strong commitment to customer service.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • A master's degree.
  • Experience in adult/graduate student recruitment with operation of an aggressive, ongoing recruitment plan and student advising.
