Our long-term client relationship with Jacobs has led to a need for a Digitization Assistant on the JSC Engineering, Technology, and Science (JETS) contract at Johnson Space Center (Houston, TX).

Responsibilities

The Digitization Assistant will:

    Scan and digitize drawings, documents and plots.
  • Respond to queries for information and access relevant files.
  • Develop and Maintain Database of digitized materials.
  • Communicate the Details of New Process with key Stakeholders.
  • Work with current or old data formats and media-Responsible for complying with data integrity and security policies, printing and scanning files and generating reports.


Qualifications

Required Education/Experience/Skills:

  • High School diploma, plus one (1) year of experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience.

- OR -

  • High School diploma, plus three (3) years of experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience.

-OR-

  • High School diploma, plus five (5) years of experience, or any equivalent combination of education/experience.

Preferences:

  • College Degree or High school diploma with additional computer training or certifications.
  • Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedure.
  • Basic knowledge of office procedures and ability to follow instructions.
  • Data entry experience or related office experience
  • Experience with MS Office and data programs
  • Organization skills, with an ability to stay focused on assigned tasks
  • Quick typing skills

  • Thoroughness

Essential Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government background investigation.

  • Work may involve sitting for extended periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lb.
  • Must have sufficient mobility to enter areas of test facilities where necessary.
  • Generally an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
  • Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, fax, etc.)
  • Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical.
  • Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements when required.
  • Must be able to work in a team atmosphere.
  • Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation.
  • Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
  • This position may require some commuting and traveling to other installations as needed.
