Join Bio-Rad as a Senior IT Auditor!

Are you passionate about IT auditing and eager to make a significant impact? Bio-Rad is looking for a dynamic Senior IT Auditor to join our team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing, planning, and executing projects that adhere to leading practices, frameworks, and standards such as SOX, COSO, COBIT, ISO 27001/02, and NIST.

This position is offered as a direct hire, however, we are also open to considering a temp-to-hire arrangement.

What You'll Do:




  • Build Relationships: Collaborate with Bio-Rad IT and business stakeholders to foster strong partnerships.

  • Stay Informed: Keep up-to-date with emerging IT risk areas, including cybersecurity, automation, artificial intelligence, and analytics.

  • Communicate Effectively: Share information and audit execution status with internal audit leadership and company management.

  • Work with External Auditors: Ensure seamless collaboration with external auditors.


How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Conduct and support SOX ITGC, automated controls, and reports testing, as well as complex IT internal audits (operational, cybersecurity) in a highly technical environment.
  • Develop and support rationale for scoping decisions and create risk-based audit programs to ensure comprehensive risk coverage.
  • Prepare all audit workpapers timely, including draft findings and management reporting.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and emerging IT risk areas (e.g., Cybersecurity, Automation, Artificial Intelligence, Analytics).
  • Communicate audit execution status effectively to internal audit management.


What You Bring:



  • Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher in Information Systems, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Work Experience: Minimum 5 years of recent IT audit or IT risk management experience, preferably with Big 4 experience.
  • Relevant professional certifications (CISA, CISSP, CRISC, CISM).
  • Experience leading and supporting cybersecurity and large implementation audits at a complex public company.
  • Knowledge of technology risks and controls related to hardware platforms, system software, and IT operational practices.
  • Strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills.
  • Proven understanding of project and program management, with a focus on technology and operational risk identification and management.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
  • Knowledge and experience in auditing SAP and/or similar ERP systems.
  • Understanding of IT architecture and network design, operating systems, database management systems, modeling, and/or data analytics tools.
  • Experience with AuditBoard, OpsAudit, and SOXHUB platforms.


Location: This position is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $114,700 to $157,800 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is eligible for a variable annual bonus, which is dependent upon achievement of your individual objectives and Company performance.
