Responsibilities

(This role has a hybrid schedule with 3 days in office and 2 days flex-remote)

The UHS Corporate Marketing Department is hiring a Supervisor, Digital Design & UX to champion design direction and oversight of all digital deliverables, including websites, landing pages, digital newsletters, emails and microsites, across Corporate and all subsidiary properties.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Identifies and directs strategies to improve the user experience (UX) across digital properties.
  • Collaborates closely with Creative Design team driving brand, campaign and print deliverables, to define and align brand elements and ensure consistency.
  • Oversees team of digital designers and UX designers, assigning project teams and providing coaching.
  • Drives evolution and adoption of attractive and user-friendly digital assets, ensuring client needs and deadlines are met.
  • Establishes UX best-practices, leveraging data and understanding user profiles, stakeholder feedback and current trends.
  • Creates and maintains a multi-brand design system.


Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required with a minimum of 5 -8 years of experience required.

  • Analytical problem-solving skills, excellent writing and presentation skills with experience in presenting design solutions to project stakeholders.

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate the implications of user research findings and business requirements to the user experience design process and product, as well as conceptualize the structure and functionality of the user experience with user needs and business goals in mind.
  • Art direct internal resources and/or collaborate with external agency partners.

  • Analytical problem-solving skills, excellent writing and presentation skills with experience in presenting design solutions to project stakeholders.

  • Minimum three years of UX or Frontend Engineering experience.
  • Experience in standard UX and design software such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe CC, OmniGraffle, Axure, InVision, UXPin, Balsamiq, Framer, and the like is a must.
  • Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
  • A solid grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, usability and accessibility concerns.
  • A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design and design thinking.
  • Research and showcase knowledge in the industry's latest trends and technologies.
  • Experience with building, championing and maintaining Design Systems.
  • Experience with Atomic design, pattern library or other modular and modern based web design concepts.
  • Experience using core tools HTML5, CSS3, SASS, JavaScript ES2015, React, PHP, SQL, GIT, jQuery and CSS Frameworks.
  • Experience with User Testing, User Flows, and other common UX methodologies.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Thrives in complex, matrixed environment.
  • Effectively juggles multiple priorities.
