The Department of Pathology and Cell Biology at Columbia University Irving Medical Center seeks a highly organized and enthusiastic medical technologist to coordinate and perform clinical and FDA research studies in the Center for Advanced Laboratory Medicine (CALM). The candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of the research studies performed in the lab, from managing IRB submissions, recruiting volunteers, screening subjects, obtaining lab specimens, ordering necessary supplies, scheduling, consenting volunteers, performing lab tests, and other logistical study support. Medical technologist license and phlebotomy skills preferred. Prior experience in clinical microbiology or molecular testing also preferred. Minimum Qualifications: The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree (preferably a medical technologist degree) and four- six years experience (preferably in phlebotomy and a microbiology clinical laboratory).
