Division Overview The Publications Division of the American Chemical Society (ACS Publications) publishes over 85 high-quality scholarly journals focused on chemistry and chemistry-related topics. It thus provides its members and the worldwide scientific community with a comprehensive collection of high-quality information products and services for the practice and advancement of the chemical sciences. Department Overview The Global Marketing Department within ACS Publications is responsible for developing marketing strategies and integrated campaign plans to engage our target audience and strengthen our relationships with them. The Department's objectives for engaging our audience are to increase the brand equity and, ultimately, enable the revenue capture for the Division's product lines of over 85 journals, eBooks, and a range of digital offerings. The current target audience includes researchers, authors, reviewers, editors, institutional/corporate librarians, administrators, funders, ACS members, and the range of end-users. Position Summary The Senior Market Intelligence Analyst, part of the ACS Publications Market Research team, is responsible for gathering, analyzing, synthesizing, and disseminating actionable competitive intelligence to support strategic decision-making. This role will lead competitive analysis efforts, monitor market trends, and provide insights that guide product development, marketing strategies, and overall business growth. The position requires a deep understanding of the academic publishing landscape. Key to success will be staying ahead of emerging trends in scholarly communication, expertly leveraging a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, competitor intel and industry reports, and recognizing those findings that will directly support decision-making and innovation within the organization. This in-office position is based in Washington, D.C. Position Accountabilities

This role is based in our Washington, D.C. A reasonable rate of compensation for this position is between $92,00-$124,000 per year. Relocation assistance is available. *A minimal amount of travel is required, typically between Columbus, OH and Washington, DC.
