Summary

As part of the Global IT Procurement team, the employee is responsible for contracts regarding Software and Software as a Service (e.g. Software License Agreements incl. SaaS, Software Integration, Software Maintenance and Support etc.) and related goods and services. The goal is to optimize the sourcing of the assigned subcategory to the satisfaction of all parties involved, in terms of price, timing and quality. The employee is responsible for the overall strategic sourcing of projects including the professional vendor management of existing suppliers and potential new partners.

Requirements

  • Act as central strategic interface to the internal customers and suppliers for related procurement activities
  • Collaborate with, and support the Global Category Manager to create and implement a comprehensive regional sourcing strategy for spend
  • Act as the key supplier manager for assigned Software suppliers in close co-operation with the respective IT Managers and IT Asset Management
  • Responsible for gathering and representing business and client requirements within the negotiations and contracting
  • Execute strategic procurement processes, including market analysis, demand management and forecasting, formal tenders, evaluation of offers, contract negotiation and proposal of contract award and implementation
  • Prepare contracts in collaboration with the legal department and other specialist departments, if required
  • Conduct spend analysis to define quantitative and qualitative optimization goals in the assigned subcategories and product groups
  • Support the Global Category Manager in the development of sourcing and supplier strategies
  • Work as part of the Regional IT Procurement team, and in close collaboration with the Global IT Procurement team, in the development of sourcing and supplier strategies
  • Deliver high quality procurement results and reporting as part of the Americas SSO
  • Ensure the business is compliant with the Company Procurement Policy and Guidelines
  • Maintain centralized contract repository, completed contracts, SOW's/Work Orders, addendum's for appointed Suppliers (Coupa)
  • Actively support Source-to-Contract (S2C) and Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process automation and digitization objectives via utilization of global procurement platform (Coupa)

Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years relevant procurement experience with Software and Software as a Service procurement or proven track record in related roles (e.g. License Management)
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or information sciences or equivalent experience
  • Experience in leading strategic sourcing projects in an international environment and ability to orchestrate cross functional negotiation teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Proficient contract terminology and expertise in developing alternative clauses where necessary in cooperation with the in-house Legal Departments
  • Commercial mindset
  • Target-oriented, highly motivated and willingness to perform
  • Experience in national and international negotiations
  • Strong team player, also with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and confident manner, absolute integrity
