TITLE: Security

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Security Guard position will require surveillance skills, attention to detail, ability to document interactions, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and secure work environment.

  • Sunday and Monday 3:30p to 12:00am

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Previous security or police training required
• Prefer candidates who are first-aid and CPR trained
• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Make rounds both inside and outside the plant facility on a variable, unpredictable schedule
• Monitor parking lot area with high visibility
• Maintain a watchful eye regarding any signs of drug or alcohol abuse and be extremely observant regarding vandalism and stealing
• Check all doors are to be locked
• Check the sprinkler system each shift
• Log all problems/concerns regarding any security area
• Check-in vehicles according to company procedures
• Monitor bathrooms on a frequent basis
• Assist in keeping any area neat and clean

WORK ENVIRONMENT CONDITIONS SUBJECTED TO IN THIS POSITION:

• Ability to work in an environment that is extremely hot, humid in the summer months, and cold in the winter months.

AUTHORITY / DECISION MAKING:

• Must have good judgment about when a situation or incident should be reported or called into local authorities

PHYSICAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Ability to stand, walk, and change positions frequently over an eight-hour period. The position requires walking up to 8 hours per work shift.
• Ability to exert muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects. (Lifting requirements up to and including 30 lbs.(frequently)
• Ability to bend, stretch, twist, or reach with your body, arms, and or legs.
• Must be able to reach and lift above shoulders (frequently)

VISUAL ACTIVITY REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION:

• Vision to read and clearly observe
