Quality Assurance Coordinator

The Rehabilitation Services Quality Assurance (QA) Coordinator is currently licensed to practice physical therapy, occupational therapy, or speech therapy in the State of Ohio. The staff member will work within the assigned Rehabilitation Services departments within Ohio State Universitys Wexner Medical Center, facilitating the designated quality program components in coordination with the designated quality team lead. The Rehab Services quality program encompasses physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. The QA Coordinator contributes to promoting a culture of continuous improvement, as well as to assuring the integrity, compliance, and quality of Rehabilitation Services at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

The Rehab Services QA Coordinator will report directly to the Rehab Services QA Manager with guidance from the Rehab Services Senior Director, Directors, and Associate Directors. The QA Coordinator contributes to consistency in quality and compliance of improvement processes and/or clinical documentation within the designated Rehabilitation units at Ohio State Universitys Wexner Medical Center. The individual will coordinate communication within business units; will deliver appropriate education and counseling regarding quality and compliance; and will enact processes and programs leading to best practices within the profession(s).

Minimum Qualifications

Required: The QA Coordinator will hold current licensure with the State of Ohio Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Athletic Training Board or Ohio Speech and Hearing Professionals Board, per their clinical discipline. One year of relevant experience required.

Preferred: Background in compliance, quality assurance, quality improvement, and/or project management. Experience with interdepartmental and/or interdisciplinary communication and coordination.
