About the Role

Impact you will make

The Agile Transformation team at FinThrive has an immediate need for a Scrum Master to join their team working with scrum teams in the Healthcare business unit. The successful Scrum Master/ Agile Project Manager will understand the general principles of Agile as outlined in the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) and be fully aligned to those principles.

What you will do



  • Mentor and coach the teams on Agile methodology and Scrum values and process
  • Facilitate quarterly planning and sprint planning processes, as well as all other scrum ceremonies, and empower team commitment to quarterly plan and sprint delivery
  • Participate in longer-term roadmap planning (quarterly plan+)
  • Ensure that release deliverables are submitted and that quality standards defined by the team are consistently met (per acceptance criteria and definition of done)
  • Facilitate and organize daily stand-up meetings, iteration sizing and planning, retrospectives, and sprint reviews
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Engineers, and Technical Owners to plan releases and ensure backlog maintenance
  • Track scrum team velocity and plans accordingly
  • Identify and remove any impediments or obstacles that prevent the delivery team from attaining iteration goals
  • Report schedule progress, team status, team metrics, and issues to senior management
  • Mentor and educate the Scrum team and stakeholders on the practical benefits of Agile/Scrum processes
  • Cultivate a team that recognizes the value of Agile development and use that recognition to improve
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, creativity, and innovation
  • Aid delivery team with determining suitable commitments for user stories, defects, and tasking
  • Coordinate and schedule the execution of deliverables across multiple teams
  • Protect time allocated to Scrum team to explore innovative solutions to business and technical problems
  • Prioritize technical debt
  • Champion continuous improvements in processes and development techniques applied by the delivery team and the entire development organization by collaborating with other Scrum Masters and the Agile organization
  • Monitor and track quarterly plan milestones and facilitate mitigation of issues and risks
  • Monitor the effectiveness of Scrum team processes and performance and collaborate with the team on changes and improvements



What you will bring



  • 4+ years' experience working with and coaching scrum teams
  • Prior experience with SCRUM/Agile methodologies and Agile at Enterprise Scale
  • Strong facilitation and collaboration skills
  • Comfortable with using Agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc., to track, plan, and evaluate sprint/ release work, velocity, burndown charts, etc.
  • Familiarity with collaborative tools and understanding how to communicate risks, issues, and mitigations to the team and provide timely resolutions



What we would like to see



  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • 6+ years of relevant Information Technology experience in healthcare
  • Certification(s) in Agile methodologies (PMI-ACP, CSM, CSP, SA, SASM or equivalent)
