Overview

Peregrine's experienced staff knows the cybersecurity and operational technology environment and provides these capabilities for our customers daily. Summary: The Electrician installs, maintains, and repairs electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. Ensures that work is in accordance with relevant codes. May install or service electrical control systems. Work in any of the following: DLA Headquarters Complex, Fort Belvoir, VA (HQC), Defense Supply Center Richmond, VA (DSCR), Defense Supply Center Columbus, OH (DSCC), DLA Distribution Center Susquehanna, PA (DDSP), New Cumberland, Pennsylvania.
Responsibilities
Essential Job Functions:
- Understand and apply blueprints and technical diagrams.
- Use various devices, including ammeters, voltmeters, thermal scanners and cable testers, as well as hand and power tools.
- Install or replace wiring, lighting, electrical controls, breakers and other electrical devices.
- Inspect and maintain electrical systems in buildings.
- Adhere to state and local building regulations.
- Complete work orders on time.
- Document the work completed and materials used.
- Work with other electricians, general contractors, architects and other team members.
- All tasks include Life Cycle Management Cyber Security.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of wiring, circuits and other electrical components.
- Ability to perform electrical tests, read results and diagnose and repair electrical problems.
- Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Understanding of local and national codes, regulations and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret wiring schematics, all types of blueprints and DDC/BAS controls drawings.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma
- Minimum of five years of related work experience.
- Journeyman Electrical License
- Ability to pass a background investigation.
- Must be a US citizen
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master Electrician
- Installation experience with Distech, Tridium, KMC, and other DDC/BAS controls
- OSHA 30
