Location:Youngsville, NC Southwire Job Description A Shipping Supervisor's job is to oversee a warehouse's day-to-day operations to ensure it runs safely and efficiently. This Individual is responsible for managing staff, equipment, logistics, and keeping goods flowing and stored properly. Work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to maintain inventory levels that will assure uninterruptible delivery for our customer base and achieve optimum inventory investment. Key Responsibilities Managing staff:Hiring, training, and supervising warehouse staff * Determine Staffing levels, communicate job expectations, train, mentor, coach and provide regular feedback to warehouse staff to cultivate employee's skills and expertise, enabling them to carry out their duties with utmost efficiency * Effectively plan and allocate resources to meet daily operational requirements, maximizing productivity and minimizing downtime Managing inventory:Achieve excellence in receiving, identifying, storing, dispatching and assuring quality of goods. * Prepare and analyze reports of warehouse operations, including the effectiveness of warehouse activities, inventory levels, shipping and receiving accuracy and employee performance * Organize and maintain inventory storage area while maintaining receiving, shipments and inventory transactions accuracy Managing logistics:Overseeing the receiving shipping and delivery of materials, and communicating with carriers, suppliers, and others involved in the receiving and shipping processes * Plan and organize the movement of goods and material to optimize the order fulfilment process * Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations Managing workflow:Assigning tasks to the team and regularly reviewing their performance * Overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping while ensuring efficient coordination amongst the staff and other stakeholders * Monitoring and enforcing compliance with company policies and safety regulations to ensure the safety of all warehouse employees * Maintain warehouse and machinery, ensuring equipment is serviced when needed Requirements and Skills * Bachelor's degree or equivalent is required * 3+ years of warehouse management experience * Experience with SAP Inventory and Warehouse Management is a must * Proficient in Warehouse and Supply Chain management. * Strong leadership, organizational and time management skills * Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data Competencies Attracts Top Talent Drives Results Courage Decision Quality Financial Acumen Communicates Effectively Benefits We Offer: 401k with Matching Family and Individual Insurance Packages (Health, Life, Dental, and Vision) Paid Time Off & Paid Holidays Long & Short-Term Disability Supplemental Insurance Plans Employee Assistance Program Employee Referral Program Tuition Reimbursement Programs Advancement & Professional Growth opportunities Parental Leave & More Southwire is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
