The business analyst is responsible for managing all important business data and analytics related to customer sales, pricing, costs, contracts, production data, etc. This role will generate reports and analyze data, managing large and complex data sets. The Business Analyst also maintains customer contract performance measures, updates presentations and dashboards, and may enter or maintain data in customer portals.
While the IT skills and experience required for this role are significant, note this is NOT an IT position, it is a key position as an individual contributor helping the corporate sales and manufacturing operations functions organize and utilize data to meet the needs of the business.
This role is identified as requiring ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations) compliance; therefore, qualified candidates must meet the definition of a U.S. Person (per EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15):

- Communicates positively and professionally with sales personnel, management, vendors, and customers regarding business data and information, both verbally and in writing (English)
- Reviews new contracts relative to quotes, ensuring accuracy; creates and maintains customer files, retrieves information from customer portals and may upload information to customer portals
- Maintains revision history and accuracy of contracts (part, platform, pricing) database; promptly retrieves information from databases and responds to inquiries from internal and external sources
- Extracts reporting from ERP system to analyze contract compliance and status and respond to ad-hoc inquiries; researches discrepancies and may drive resolution as appropriate; may enter data into ERP
- Maintains equipment and capabilities list and other sales & marketing support materials
- Analyzes business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and customer obligations to project future revenue and expenses and offer guidance
- Maintains customer and supplier performance metrics
- Creates, compares, and merges multiple Excel files to consolidate and summarize information
- Prepares and/or updates PowerPoint presentations and Management dashboards; presents clear and concise talking points/support
- May maintain website and/or social media accounts on behalf of the enterprise
Required Education and Work Experience
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant Business or Engineering program is required
- Experience requirements vary based on position level. The posted salary range reflects a broad range inclusive of both entry and associate-level positions.
- Entry-level positions require only relevant coursework or projects to demonstrate possession of necessary skills; a GPA of 3.0+ is preferred
- An associate-level position requires a minimum of five (5) years of work experience in a complex sales, administrative, or business intelligence/analytics role
- Program management experience in the aerospace manufacturing industry would be advantageous
Other Required Skills and Abilities
- Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency to include functions such as Vlookups, IndexMatch, IF statements, Pivot Tables, Filters, and creation of multi-axis and complex Charts and Graphs
- Microsoft PowerPoint proficiency to include preparation and revision of presentations including the use of automation and embedded links, Charts and Graphs, Formatting text, photos, and objects
- Experience with PowerBI, SQL queries, and ERP proficiency is required
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Work, Sharepoint site management, and Teams is required; general computer proficiency to efficiently navigate online portals, use cloud tools, and conduct internet research is required.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities to anticipate questions, provide commentary explaining data analysis and findings, and appropriately handle unexpected challenges and shifting priorities
- Project management and organizational skills to ensure progress toward multiple initiatives and projects simultaneously; attention to detail and deadlines is critical
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining confidentiality, securing company records, and demonstrating integrity in communications and actions
- Self-management skills including efficiency, sense of urgency, ability to adapt and respond to unexpected circumstances, and the ability to juggle multiple projects and competing priorities, and meet concurrent deadlines
- Sets an example for integrity, communication, and compliance for others in the organization by following policies, communicating professionally, and providing timely and accurate responses to internal customers.
- Reliability to meet deadlines and complete work without continuous supervision is essential
Physical Demands and Work Environment
To perform the essential functions of the role, employees must be able to perform the following activities with or without reasonable accommodations:

- Constantly communicate verbally and in writing (English) using a phone, texts or other messaging, and email

Work Environment
The normal work environment is a typical office setting; however occasional site visits will be required, and the employee may be exposed to excessive noise, dust, fumes, vapors, and hazards including forklifts and other moving equipment. The use of PPE, including hearing protection, eye protection, and use of safety footwear may be required during these visits.
Travel Requirements
Regular travel is not required; occasional travel by air or ground transportation may be required.
