POSITION SUMMARY

Contract Security Guard (CSG) will provide critical security functions including static installation access control, static perimeter security, roving patrols, operate the Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS) or perform any other security related functions associated with the protection of the Communications Site, existing materials, property, and personnel. This role involves armed security duties at a U.S. Department of Defense installation located outside the continental United States (OCONUS). Responsibilities include conducting entry control, tower surveillance, patrols, vehicle and personnel searches, bag screening, reporting, and incident management in accordance with the contract. Security Guards will also provide updates and status reports; write spot reports and incident reports, as necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Perform access control, personnel, and vehicle screening; to include searches of individual hand carried items and vehicles and all associated tasks
  • Operate and provide operator level maintenance for the site Integrated Electronic Security System (IESS) and monitor all alarms; document all alarms using DA Form 4930-R, Alarm/Intrusion Detection Record
  • Serve as interior sentries and perform static sentry duties at designated locations; participate in roving patrols as needed and when directed
  • Serves as a member of the initial Response Force (RF) during site alarms and/or incident response(s)
  • Provide initial Emergency Medical Care and response in accordance with (TCCC) Tactical Combat Causality Care procedures, as well as assist in MEDEVAC procedures
  • Provide site security armed escort services for visitors and/or authorized personnel.
  • Provide logistical and operational support while conducting security operations at Communications Site Israel
  • Conduct building searches, perimeter patrols, and tower guard post for base defense
  • Conduct daily training to maintain mission readiness
  • Adhere to and actively support company policies, procedures, standards, and site directives
  • Report all discrepancies or security violations immediately to leadership
  • Other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

GENERAL



  • Must meet all general contract requirements including age requirement; must be 21 years old at time of hire
  • Must be able to speak, read, understand, and write English language
  • Must successfully complete all US Government and contractor provided training, both initial and recurring.
  • Must be able to pass all medical, physical, and Individual Reliability Program (IRP) requirements (see AR 190-56)
  • Must have 1-year minimum security service(s) experience in one of the following:

    • Prior military service in security service(s) related MOS, verifiable on DD214 (honorable discharge), or
    • Prior law enforcement service, as verified in police service records, training/certifications, and letter(s) of recommendation from superiors, or
    • Prior contractor security guard (CSG) services(s), verifiable from training certifications, industry qualifications and employment service records.


  • Must pass initial and recuring scheduled and/or unscheduled drug tests IAW AR 190-56.
  • Achieve and maintain a SECRET U.S. Government security clearance, for which US Citizenship is required.
  • Successfully qualify and requalify with an M4 rifle, pistol and other weapon system(s) as required by the contract.


PHYSICAL FITNESS




  • Must be capable of passing the US Army Physical Agility Testing (PAT) in accordance with AR 190-56 and Training Circular (TC) 3-22.20. This may include primary and/or alternate events as listed in AR 190-56, including a 1.5M run, dummy drag, 2.0M walk, etc.



    • Drag, carry, lift, and/or pull a person to safety (140-150 pounds).
    • 5M run or 2M walk.
    • Execute 19 pushups in 2 minutes.
    • Use physical force to detain a subject or prevent unauthorized entry.
    • Prolonged standing and/or sustained patrol on foot or in a vehicle.
    • Sustained pursuit of suspect on foot.
    • Dodging, crawling, climbing, and/or rapid ascent of stairs.
    • Perform the above wearing duty equipment and/or personal protective equipment weighing approximately 30 pounds under adverse environmental conditions.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Work is conducted in a busy and remote environment with little onsite amenities. Employees spend extensive time outdoors exposed to the elements in hot/humid conditions, as well as cold weather during winter months. Work hours may fluctuate between 8-12 hours per day based on the needs of the client. Some extended, holiday and/or weekend hours may be required. Additional details related to specific working conditions may be outlined in your Statement of Work or Employment Agreement.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to perform all physical duties as a contract security guard, inclusive of lifting/moving heavy objects, standing outdoors for prolonged periods, withstanding exposure to the weather, and response during elevated threats, attacks, exercises and/or drills. Physical tasks include lifting, lowering, carrying, pushing, or moving objects up to 150 lbs. (simulates an average person being dragged for 25'). Tasks also include intermittent standing or prolonged sitting, the ability to walk, reach, kneel, crouch and handle work related supplies and tools. Additional details related to physical requirements may be outlined in the Company's Performance Work Statement or Contract with the client.
