Position Summary
The primary location of this position is the Cullowhee, NC campus.

The Director of Talent Acquisition will serve as a key member of the HR senior leadership team to strategically promote WCU's mission of employee excellence. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Human Resources and Payroll, the Director of Talent Acquisition will serve as the primary resource and liaison for employment and talent acquisition activities for the university. In this role, the Director will provide oversight of the University's talent acquisition program for all faculty, staff and non-work study student positions.

The Director will provide strategic and programmatic leadership and will work collaboratively to develop and sustain useful, cost-effective practices for attracting and retaining highly talented administrators, faculty and staff. The Director will have routine and ongoing contact with a wide variety of campus constituents including senior leadership.

Candidates should demonstrate exceptional interpersonal, communication and management skills; strong conceptual, strategic planning and problem solving skills; high level of organization; ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment; ability to lead and provide strategic oversight to a team of HR professionals; ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the university; strong leadership, analytical and presentation skills; ability to build strong working relationships instilling trust and confidence in colleagues at all levels; work successfully with diverse work groups.
Minimum Qualifications
Interested candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employment sponsorship or any other immigration-related assistance.
A Master's Degree (or equivalent of Bachelor's degree and related experience) and a minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources related experience.
