Major/Essential Functions

LEAVE ADMINISTRATION: Serves as the Operations Division leave administrator. Facilitates the various leave benefits processes for employees. Tracks leave for Worker's Comp cases. Assists in payroll processing for employees on leave and processes Manual Leave Adjustments and Manual Check Requests as required. Obtains documentation for leaves of absence, provides guidance based on University policies and procedures, and ensures all leave granted and taken is accurate and in accordance with established policies. Works closely with Human Resources Administration throughout the leave process.

RECRUITMENT: Attends various recruitment events and engages with potential candidates interested in employment with Operations. Conducts follow up screenings with viable candidates and assists with matching candidates with available positions based on their skills and the departmental need. Coordinates with local temporary agencies to provide alternative staffing options to various departments, conducts initial application and administers payroll process for temporary workers on a weekly basis. Coordinates TTU Student Assistant recruitment, serving as the point of contact for students interested in working for Operations, coordinating interviews with departments, and corresponding with students on a regular basis.

EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT: Serves on the Operations Awards and State Employee Charitable Campaign (SECC) committees. Creates recognition letters for employees, coordinates award facilitation, and maintains accurate tracking for employee participation reporting.

ADMINISTRATIVE: Performs purchases for employee events such as retirement celebrations, sympathy flowers, etc. and performs all administrative tasks associated with purchases. Maintains updated and accurate budget tracking for the Employee Outreach & Engagement program, ensuring efficient use of resources. Assists in planning and organizing various departmental events.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field. Three (3) years related experience; OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal seven years.

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to effectively communicate with a diverse group of individuals. Extensive experience in Microsoft Office (excel, word, etc.). Excellent organization skills and ability to effectively manage one's work time and meet strict deadlines.

Pay Statement
