Compensation: $22.00 / hour

What Is the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is seeking a intern to work in our corporate health & safety department at our Daphne, AL office for our 2025 Internship Program. We will require interns to regularly come into an office and potentially perform fieldwork, depending on project needs.

Interns will experience a combination of hands-on fieldwork and a defined project within their scope of study, as well as the opportunity for exposure to other service areas within our firm. There will be opportunities to work with senior- and principal-level professionals, assisting with project-related tasks and gaining insight into the world of professional engineering consulting. Interns will have a solid understanding of corporate health and safety and environmental consulting at the conclusion of the program.

What Are We Looking For?

• Current undergraduate or graduate students majoring in a field related to one of our areas of expertise:

• Corporate HSE (Engineering, Construction Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Public Health)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to interpret and apply technical information

• Excellent organizational skills

• Project management mindset to effectively manage priorities and meet deadlines

• Desire to work collaboratively with others to accomplish goals

• Balance of a professional attitude while having fun

What Are the Responsibilities?

Deliver a defined capstone project with assistance from senior engineers, scientists, planners, and other professionals. To support this goal, interns may be asked to:

• Support implementation of corporate HSE policies and procedures.

• May help with documentation of corporate HSE activities

• Conduct research and analysis around prospective clients, trends, strategies, industries, activation needs, etc.

• Assist with field planning, data analysis, and report writing

• Assist with research and data entry for new business initiatives

• Conduct field activities around HSE activities

• Complete OSHA HAZWOPER training as required

• Update documents, calendars, schedules, weekly statuses, etc.

What Is the estimated Timeline for the 2025 Internship Program?

• February 10 - February 21: Application submittal period

• March 24-28: Anchor QEA Internship Interview Day takes place

• April 7- April 18: Selected Candidates receive offers

• May 20: Earliest start date for interns (subject to their availability)
