* Base Pay Range:

o 1st year - $16.68/hour

o 2nd year - $19.31/hour

o 3rd year - $21.45/hour

o 4th year - $23.40/hour

* Shift Differentials:

o Additional $1.25 per hour for Evening shift

o Additional $1.50 per hour for Weekend shift

DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, review and interpret prescriptions for inpatients and outpatients using computerized patient profiles to ensure the appropriateness of dosage and to determine the significance of potential drug-drug interaction.

Under direct supervision of a pharmacist, contact and confers with physicians concerning the appropriate drug, dose, dosing interval, drug allergy and drug-drug interaction.

Prepare and dispense appropriate amount of inpatients and outpatient medication under supervision of a pharmacist.

Fill automated dispensing machines and delivers patient medications accurately.

Conduct I.V. rounds and under the direct supervision of a pharmacist, prepares I.V. additives using aseptic techniques in the laminar air flow hood.

Prepare the admixtures chemotherapy using aseptic and safe technique in type II safety hood under direct pharmacist supervision.

Perform other job related duties as assigned by the pharmacist or Pharmacy Manager.

Must either be registered as a pharmacy technician or licensed as a pharmacy intern

Previous pharmacy experience preferred
