How You'll Perform the Role

The Packaging Engineer Intern for Food and Delivery would oversee performance testing of both current and new products. They will evaluate heat retention, grease resistance, and overall product performance. This will require both in the plant and lab work to be completed.

Potential Projects:



  • Analyzing Novolex catalog of products for potential improvement opportunities
  • Working with team to track sustainability and recyclability testing - assisting with these tests
  • Performing competitive analysis and share insight on new product innovation
  • Performing store walks to see products in person and compare to competitor products
  • Provide a detailed written test plan and make recommendations based on data delivered.


What We Need From You

  • Team player, positive attitude
  • Very interested in packaging science with a desire to develop a career in the field
  • Capacity for problem solving and demonstrated multi-task capabilities. Ability to innovate and simplify current processes and practices
  • Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). Smartsheet experience would be a plus
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good communication skills, including business emails and technical writing


Preferred majors:

Rising Juniors or Seniors preferred with a focus in Packaging Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering or Sustainability
