Primary Purpose Summary
The Manufacturing Operations Manager is responsible for the product value stream within the Midland site. Responsible for the Manufacturing, Warehouse and Production Planning department. Oversee the execution and control of Plant safety, quality, cost and delivery performance versus goals for the molding and secondary production operations. The Manufacturing Operations Manager will retain principal responsibility of processes and performance across all shifts while initiating and driving continuous improvement activities in areas of responsibility relative to business objectives. Detailed Description:
- Strive for customer satisfaction by manufacturing products in respect of company's quality, cost and lead-time policies.
- Assist in developing strategic plans in which business goals and objectives are met; talent development, customer focus and employee engagement
- Coordinate with Supply Chain regarding production planning by establishing priorities, scheduling activities and employees, monitoring progress, and resolving problems.
- Maintain manufacturing staff performance level by coaching, counseling, disciplining employees, addressing grievances, planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
- Achieve financial objectives by preparing Production budgets, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, compiling, reviewing costs, and initiating corrective actions.
- Initiate plans and processes, which minimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization of labor, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital and other efficiency measures.
- Assure attainment of business objectives and productionschedules while insuring product standards that will exceed our customers' expectations.
- Manage spending against budget, controlling spending in relation to changes in production.
- Continually improve safety record by ensuring that all safety rules & regulations are respected and by addressing both physical safety issues and employee safety attitudes.
- Implement and enforce quality control programs to meet quality objective.
Required Qualifications
- Education
- 4 year degree (Bachelor's Degree) in relevant field or equivalent experience
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a production environment.
- Excellent computer skills utilizing SAP and MS Office.
- Demonstrated analytical proficiency
