The Continuous Improvement Intern will play a key role in enhancing manufacturing processes through the application of Lean methodologies. This role will focus on analyzing current workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing improvements to operational performance.

Essential Duties



  • Actively participates with other members of the Operations team in implementing solutions that will have a direct impact on the organization and its success
  • Leads projects aimed at improving the group's current operational challenges
  • Analyzes available data to assist in decision making
  • Works cross functionally with other groups to organize and implement sustainable processes to advance our day-to-day operations
  • Learns and leverages lean tools to solve challenging problems including active interaction with shop floor team and manufacturing processes
  • Completes assigned tasks on time and budget while meeting technical requirements
  • Gathers and assembles data for CI and Plant Leadership
  • Performs a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the manufacturing, planning, supply chain, finance, and quality, staff, methods, programs and practices
  • Projects and additional duties will be assigned throughout the assignment based on current business and manufacturing needs


Education/Experience/Other Skills & Abilities:



  • HS Diploma; Must be enrolled in an accredited Engineering or Business program
  • Receives and follows directions
  • Interacts professionally with teammates and colleagues
  • Possesses basic oral and written communication skills
  • Possesses quality orientation and high attention to detail
  • Possesses strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with customers, vendors, employees and managers at all levels within the company
  • Possesses strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in standard business software packages (e.g., Microsoft Office)


This position requires access to, or use of export-controlled technical data or technology controlled by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Accordingly, applicants must be U.S. Persons or must be eligible to obtain the required export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
