Overview
The IT Intern - Budget Planning will support the IT department by assisting in budget planning, financial analysis, and expense tracking for IT projects and operations. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in IT financial management, cost control, and strategic budget planning in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and eager to learn about IT financial processes, project budgeting, and enterprise cost management. Learning Outcomes 1. Gain exposure to IT financial tools and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems for budget tracking. 2. Attend IT finance meetings, providing insights and support on budget-related discussions. 3. Assist in preparing presentations for budget reviews, executive reports, and financial strategy meetings. 4. Conduct research on industry best practices for IT budgeting, cost optimization, and financial management. Qualifications * Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. * Basic understanding of budgeting, financial planning, or cost analysis is a plus. * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, financial modeling); experience with financial tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) is a plus. * Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively. * Eagerness to learn about IT financial operations and contribute to real-world budgeting processes. * Legal authorization to work in the U.S. * At least 18 years of age prior to scheduled start date About Alnylam:Alnylam Pharmaceuticals (Nasdaq: ALNY) has led the translation of RNA interference (RNAi) into a whole new class of innovative medicines with the potential to transform the lives of people afflicted with rare and more prevalent diseases.
