Job Purpose

This position will be responsible for the leadership and management of multiple Financial Advisors and the Client Service Associates (CSA) team. Will be responsible for ensuring exceptional client experience, revenue growth, and compliance while complying with industry rules and regulations. Will ensure that the Financial Advisors are supported by the CSA team and follow department standards and best practices. Will serve as the escalation point for Peoples Investment Services activities. Will be responsible for reviewing, seeking efficiency and implementing process improvements.

Job Duties

  • Financial Advisors (FA) Management
    1. Responsible for the leadership and support of multiple Financial Advisors . This includes training, performance monitoring and the achievement of goals for sales and client service.
    2. Working with FA's on Peoples Bank Best practices for workflow and compliance.
    3. Will be responsible for supporting system and workflow improvement with FA and CSA teams.
    4. Ensures the FA team completes annual review and other client service requirements with designated time frame.
  • Client Services Associates (CSA) Management
    1. Responsible for the management and support of the CSAteam. Duties include recruiting, hiring, training, performance monitoring and overall leadership of employees.
    2. Review and develop workflows and procedures to ensure consistency, efficiency and compliance.
    3. Manage CSA workflow to ensure timely completion of departmental responsibilities and to ensure acceptable staff performance.
    4. Responsible for reviewing process improvement opportunities which includes reviewing, seeking out efficiencies and implementing. Will be responsible for training staff on new system tools to ensure overall knowledge of product and the ability to use accurately and effectively.
    5. Will collaborate with three business lines including other leads to review and identify overlap in processes.
    6. Assist with planning and conducting seminars as needed.
    7. Lead and support onboarding process for new financial advisors and/or acquisitions.
  • Responsible for the preparation and delivery of performance feedback that includes coaching, quarterly and annual reviews, developmental action plans, and disciplinary action, as applicable.
  • Ensure FA and CSA compliance with Peoples, Raymond James, and industry compliance rules and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative and productive working environment which includes continuous and effective staff communication.
  • Responsible for conducting staff meetings/training and coaching sessions to provide positive feedback with actionable items to ensure individual and group success. Lead associates in the Peoples way and culture.
  • Responsible for the collaboration with the Trust & Investment Sales and Operations Managers to develop new processes and review impacts to all three business lines.
  • Coordinate between Raymond James Branch Manager and/or Compliance, Financial Advisor(s), CSA to insure that compliance issues are handled in a timely manner.
  • Will perform and lead special projects as assigned.

Education, Experience and Job Skills

  • Associate's degree in business or finance or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services required.
  • Past management of Financial Advisors strongly preferred.
  • FINRA 7 and 66 (or 65 and 63) licenses required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Knowledge of Word, Excel, Powerpoint software and experience at adapting those to particular sales needs is required.
  • Must consistently produce work with a very high degree of accuracy.
  • Flexible in changing priorities and working on multiple projects at once.
  • Ability to prioritize work in a multi-task environment is essential.
  • Resourceful in finding information and solutions, and able to think ahead to next steps.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially over the telephone.
  • Must be able to maintain positive experience for clients, and associates, regardless of workload.
  • Team player.
  • Travel required to effectively manage and meet with designated direct reports, required trainings etc.

Basis Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial services required.
  • FINRA 7 and 66 (or 65 and 63) licenses required or willingness to obtain within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services required.
  • Travel required to effective manage teams, required trainings etc.
