We're actively seeking a talented paralegal to join our Real Estate Debt Closing and Debt Servicing Team in Newport Beach, CA.
As a Real Estate Closing Analyst, you'll move Pacific Life, and your career, forward by providing key support to the closing and servicing managers on our team, including managing files and diligence repositories, reviewing due diligence and providing recommendations, preparation and distribution of departmental reports, and providing general support services. You will fill an existing role that sits on a team of 7 people in the Office of the General Counsel division, in support of our services for the Pacific Life Investments division. Your colleagues will include closing and servicing managers as well as in-house investment counsel.
How you'll help move us forward:
Act as key support for closing and servicing managers to efficiently and effectively move transactions to closing and facilitate post-Closing servicing transactions. Use Microsoft Office 365, Naya, Northshore Systems, iManage, PowerBI and other platforms to accomplish tasks as required. Complete assigned processing, documentation and reports using knowledge of applicable systems and contacts. Make travel arrangements and prepare expense reports. Partner, collaborate and provide guidance to applicable departments and other administrative staff to support key initiatives and projects.
The experience you bring:
Bachelor's degree required Completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program or equivalent experience helpful but not required. Open to considering recent graduates. Prior experience in commercial real estate and/or finance and investments is preferred but not required. Ability to handle multiple projects and assignments, and support multiple colleagues, in a fast paced and busy environment is critical. Must have excellent written and verbal skills, as well as electronic research skills and knowledge of relevant technology.
What makes you stand out:
Experience working on commercial real estate financing or acquisitions is preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office (particularly Word, Excel, Sharepoint and Teams), and, preferably, iManage. Flexibility, adaptability, openness to change, and a "can do" attitude is essential. This is a position that includes both administrative and substantive responsibilities for a very busy team, and we need a candidate who is energetic and embraces the full range of responsibilities.
