JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic IT Helpdesk Intern to join our dynamic IT team! This internship is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced technical support environment and develop your skills in IT. You will gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment and have an opportunity to work with a supportive and knowledgeable team. You will also gain exposure to a wide range of IT issues and
solutions. Key responsibilities are as follows:

Responsibilities
  • Assist the IT helpdesk team in providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, software, and peripherals.
  • Document and track user issues and resolutions in the helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of user accounts and access permissions.
  • Participate in IT projects and initiatives as assigned by the IT manager.
  • Provide user training and support for common software applications and IT procedures.
  • Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and supplies.
Essential Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Associate's degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking principles.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with Windows and Mac operating systems.
  • Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a customer service or technical support role.
  • Knowledge of helpdesk ticketing systems and remote support tools.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
