Job Title: Planning AnalystWork Schedule: Onsite - Buffalo, NYPlanning Analyst Military Aircraft Group has multiple openings for Planning Analysts within the Shop and Assembly & Test. The Planning Analyst is the central base upon which all phases of Production Control operation are planned, controlled, and monitored to ensure on time completion of Moog's commitments to its customers. A basic knowledge of the operation and the nuances specific to their program/value stream responsibility is required. The Planning Analyst is responsible for the entire program or value stream, from the acquisition of component parts to the shipping of those end items. Responsibilities: *Responsible for the analysis and maintenance of part planning parameters in line with the established materials strategy, inventory plan, and demand profile of the business. *Responsible for conversion of demand signals into Work Orders in accordance with defined Planning systems and processes. *Track & action material shortages and lead times to mitigate all risks to the production plan. *Develop achievable & balanced production plans that align with Customer demands / schedules, through capacity analysis and collaboration with appropriate team members. Escalate impacts to plan or customer. *Determine Engineering Order change effectiveness and impacts on schedules or obsolescence management. *Participate in meetings with cross-functional teams to discuss individual piece part/program status, and support audits as needed for customer owned inventory. *Creating dynamic relationships across cross-functional teams, including production, to resolve issues in a timely manner. *Responsible for WIP on planner code and maintain optimal levels for a shop area or value stream. *Responsible for providing work center scheduling method/clear to build status. *Facilitate the analysis, review & update of Planning Bill of Materials (PBOMs) in accordance with demand changes. *Construct Line of Balance (LOBs). Communicate identified gaps and priorities. Monitors progress to completion.
*Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, within the functional Planning department as well as the shop or value stream teams. Basic Qualifications: *Bachelor's Degree in Technical or Business field and experience related to a Production Planning & Control role. OR *Associate degree in Technical or Business field + > 2 years' experience related to a Production Planning & Control role. OR > 5 years progressive experience directly related to a Production Planning & Control role *The candidate must have experience using ERP planning tools and strong data analytic skills. The candidate must possess effective communication/organizational skills and be able to demonstrate an understanding of complex regulations/procedures. *The individual must be able to prioritize a variety of tasks at any one time and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines. Preferred Qualifications: *A planning, operations or technical background is preferable. APICS or other industry standard certifications are a plus. Salary Range Transparency: Buffalo, NY $65,000.00-$88,000.00 AnnuallySalary Range Disclaimer The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees.
