Job Description:

This position is responsible for patient care/service and assigned duties under the direction of the Registered Nurse.

Job Requirements:

Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required plus successful completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or successful completion of an arrhythmia test given by the Education Department. Techs working with IVs must have successfully completed an IV course.

Experience:
None required, but preferred

License/Certification:
Current BLS Certification and certification of completion of a basic cardiac arrhythmia course or certification by the Education Department of successful completion of an arrhythmia test is required. Certified Phlebotomist preferred and IV certification is preferred.

Other:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care/service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
