Responsibilities:

* Provide guidance to subordinate warehouse personnel and facilitate employee issue resolution

* Oversee, direct and motivate employees

* Ensure safety, quality and housekeeping standards are met daily

* Ensure that all vital warehouse functions for the Loading team are executed on a daily basis

* Develop work force to ensure "Safety First" is a way of life, constantly monitor environment looking for risk areas

* Supervise and coordinate the daily operations of the loading team to achieve departmental and Distribution Center targets

* Ensure all shipments are loaded safely and efficiently, maximizing load factor, according to customer and Epiroc requirements

* Monitor loading schedules and ensure that deadlines are met

* Maintain accurate records of outgoing shipments and associated documentation including Dangerous Goods shipments

* Monitor reports of team productivity to ensure workloads are balanced and performance standards are met

* Maintain daily reporting to ensure accuracy in the loading function. Report findings

* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operations

* Conduct performance reviews, provide feedback, and address any issues with staff performance

* Interact with carriers as needed to ensure all pickup schedules are met

* Escalate any transportation-related matters to DC Transportation Specialist

* May require overtime and occasional on-call weekends

Requirements:

* At least 5 years of warehousing/distribution experience with a focus on loading and at least 2-3 years in a supervisory role

* Basic computer skills - Word and Excel

* Basic knowledge of and/or experience with ERP and Warehouse Management Systems

* Knowledge of carrier/transportation procedures

* Knowledge of loading/warehouse best practices and safety standards
