Family Description

Customer Services (CS) covers customer service in different areas such as technical support, account support, operations, maintenance, network design / deployment / integration / transformation, and education. Generates revenue and the increase of customer satisfaction through planning, designing, deploying, integrating, optimising, operating, and maintaining phases.

Subfamily Description

NW Design & Optimisation (NWD) comprises the planning and / or managing the planning of communications networks for customers. Covers consultation of customers on communication network performance. Contains optimisation and / or managing of the optimisation of customer networks. Covers the execution of end-to-end design-related activities (address surveys, site surveys, design and as-built) for deployment projects.



  • Analysis & High Level Design involving Solution Definition, Requirements Development, Architecture and High-Level Design
  • Network Deployment Detailed Design involving developing configuration templates, including IP addressing, VLAN, Capacity, and QoS plans
  • Network Element Integration including performing software updates, establishing and validating connectivity to network and element management system, testing alarms, timing and synchronization, and services
  • Troubleshooting involving taking logs and captures to determine the root cause of customer production network issues.



  • A degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science and at least 5 years of practical work experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience configuring, provisioning or troubleshooting Access Technologies (XGS-PON, SDAN) using CLI or GUI on the devices.
  • Solid communication and technical presentation skills with the ability to influence engineers, customers and executives to become advocates of Nokia products and solutions.


It would be nice if you also had:



  • Experience troubleshooting and testing Altiplano & 7360 ISAM functions and services.
  • Knowledge of NETCONF / YANG
  • Knowledge of Layer 2/Layer 3 IP protocols, MPLS
  • Network engineering and network design experience
  • Demonstrated customer relationship management skills
