Title: Geotechnical Engineer Location: Houston, Texas Job Type: Regular Full-time What's the Opportunity? Anchor QEA is seeking Geotechnical Engineers with 0-3 years to experience to support existing clients and help expand our geotechnical, environmental, civil, and water resources engineering practice in the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast Region while supporting projects nationally. We are particularly interested in an individual with demonstrated understanding of field sampling procedures, laboratory test methods, and basic geotechnical engineering analysis concepts including slope stability, shallow and deep foundation design, analysis of earth retaining structures, and settlement evaluation. Strong written and verbal communications skills are a must. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will be responsible for the following: Assisting with overall development and management of engineering projects; Assisting with coordination and supervision of field and engineering tasks; Performing engineering analyses and calculations, developing recommendations and preparing engineering reports for geotechnical projects; Assisting with preparation of project proposals and cost estimates; Attending project and client meetings; Ability to travel for field projects locally and at various US locations; Participate in training and Professional Development opportunities. What Are We Looking For? Ideal candidates will have the following: BS or MS degree in Civil Engineering. 0-3 years of experience in related engineering field A willingness to work on a variety of tasks simultaneously, across disciplines internally and externally, adhere to deadlines, and work in a client service-oriented team environment. Detail-oriented, highly organized, an ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in MS Office What Can You Expect?
