Position Objective:

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven individual to intern with our Commercial Operations team. The Inside Sales Development Intern will be responsible for reaching out to potential and/or existing customers over the phone or via email, with the goal of increasing sales and gathering feedback. This role will increase sales closure rates via outbound calling and email communication for Aftermarket opportunities up to $10K. This role has the potential for performance-based incentives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Make outbound calls to potential or existing customers based on provided Salesforce opportunity list.
  • Engage in friendly and professional conversation with customer to support opportunity conversion into a sales order.
  • Monitoring and management of active Aftermarket Sales Quotes (salesforce.com opportunities) up to $10K in a specific geographic territory or customer base.
  • Ensure accurate and timely updates of salesforce.com opportunities including opportunity status, key activities and expected close dates.
  • Follow provided scripts and guidelines to ensure consistency and compliance in all calls.
  • Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly call quotas and sales conversion goals.
  • Support accurate sales forecasting by keeping opportunity data up to date.
  • Work with leadership to identify areas where the inside sales process can be improved or streamlined.
  • Collaborate with customer service and others as required.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Position Requirements:

  1. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook);
  2. Prior CRM experience, salesforce is preferred;
  3. Prior SAP experience and SAP proficiency is desired;
  4. Duties require excellent verbal and written communication;
  5. Goal-oriented and results-driven with the ability to work independently;
  6. Ability to handle rejection and maintain motivation;
  7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
  8. Must have ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages. Must have ability to apply basic algebra and geometry.
