This opportunity is in the Business Intelligence and Planning department. Our team is responsible for driving data-driven decision-making across the organization, ensuring data integrity, and optimizing information availability to support key business strategies.

Role Overview

The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for all aspects of data quality and analysis. This position plays a key role in developing data quality reporting, identifying and resolving data issues, and implementing continuous improvement strategies to enhance corporate data integrity and availability. The role requires strong analytical skills, an aptitude for data management, and the ability to collaborate with multiple business units to ensure the highest data standards are met

Key Responsibilities



  • Deliver accurate data to downstream data consumers and ensure data integrity within databases and warehouses
  • Analyze and validate data completeness, consistency, and compliance with data standard
  • Investigate data quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective solutions in partnership with data stakeholders
  • Develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and improve data quality
  • Perform data profiling and create data quality monitoring reports and alerts
  • Audit data inconsistencies and inefficiencies and recommend process improvements
  • Benchmark and enhance data quality from all data sources
  • Collaborate with the Data Team to maintain data accuracy in the warehouse


Qualifications

Required:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, or Information Systems
  • Minimum 4 years of experience working with data in either IT or Finance
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying relational databases, extracting, analyzing, and reconciling large datasets
  • Ability to perform root-cause analysis and develop action plans
  • Hands-on experience supporting data quality initiatives
  • Strong analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and work with minimal supervision
  • Proven ability to work with a diverse team of business and technical professionals
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future


Preferred:



  • Background in finance or accounting
  • Experience in data warehouse environments

This position is based at Safety National's home office in St. Louis, MO

The target base salary range for this position is $66,000 to $84,500 Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location
