Position Summary
The UNM Department of Psychiatry
and Behavioral Sciences
is eager to put together the right package for an
individual with a passion for child and adolescent psychiatry and teaching,
coupled with an interest in joining a team of talented, caring and committed
faculty members. Applications are being
accepted for an academic faculty psychiatrist, suitable for appointment at the
rank of Assistant, Associate, or full Professor for a position in our Child and
Adolescent Psychiatry Division
. The
successful candidate can take full advantage of opportunities available in our
vibrant and active academic community.

As an attending psychiatrist in our
Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Division, the person(s) selected will have a
voice in developing the division's direction as well as opportunities for
multicultural clinical care and scholarly and collaborative research activities
across the Health Sciences Center campus. There are many opportunities for professional
development in leadership, administration, and education, including mentoring
and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in
related disciplines.

Salary and academic rank are
commensurate with experience and academic background.

Qualifications


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Medical Doctor (or equivalent)
    degree;
  • Board certified or board eligible in
    Child and Adolescent Psychiatry;
  • Clinical experience - minimum 1
    year;
  • Eligible for licensure in the State
    of New Mexico;
  • Must be eligible to work in the
    United States.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Educational, teaching and
    supervision experience with residents, fellows and medical students.
  • A demonstrated commitment to
    diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with
    broadly diverse communities.
