Responsibilities

SummitRidge Hospital provides quality behavioral health and addiction treatment services in Lawrenceville, GA, approximately 30 miles northeast of downtown Atlanta. Our dedicated team of caregivers provide caring and professional inpatient, outpatient and support services to adults and adolescents suffering from psychiatric or addictive disorders. Additionally, the Geriatric unit provides acute care for seniors in psychiatric crisis.

Due to continued growth, we are seeking an experienced HIM Clerk/Chart Analyst to join our talented Medical Records team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Supply medical staff with required forms and documents.
  • Process admission and discharge folders and face sheets.
  • Retrieve, assemble and analyze and clerk medical records accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Protect medical records from loss or defacement prior to the end of retention periods.
  • Performs audit of active charts on a regular basis
  • Maintains accurate input and update of chart deficiencies into the computer system
  • Distributes notices of delinquencies to physicians for completion
  • Reviews, evaluates, and processes release of information requests.
