Position Title: Sanitation Lead
Wage: $24/hour Shift: 3rd Hours: 10pm-6am QPS Employment Group is hiring a Sanitation Lead for a company in Lake Mills, WI. This position requires availability for both weekdays and weekend shifts, including Sundays. The manager will set the schedule. This is a contract to hire role. Sanitation Lead Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Manage all activities necessary for cleaning and sanitizing production areas and equipment daily, ensuring compliance with SSOP (Standard Sanitation Operating Procedures), HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points), FDA (Food & Drug Administration), GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), safety policies, and other established requirements - Work with maintenance personnel and the sanitation crew to dismantle production lines and equipment for cleaning - Adhere to and promote Good Manufacturing Practices - Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures - Oversee sanitation projects and cleaning activities and participate in pre-operational inspections - Conduct weekly inventory of sanitation supplies and chemicals - Perform daily chemical concentration tests and ensure door foamers and hand washer machines are functioning properly - Operate at or above standard output levels to maximize efficiency - Be knowledgeable about all department positions and equipment - Ensure accuracy and legibility of department paperwork - Maintain daily communication with the supervisor regarding current and potential issues/concerns (safety, plant, cleaning, personnel, etc.) and offer suggestions for improvement - Ensure all sanitation employees receive their breaks and do not abuse break times - Assist in training department employees, including new hires - Address mechanical or quality issues to ensure safe and efficient production - Collaborate with the supervisor on qualification reviews - Assist the supervisor in monitoring and enforcing safety protocols - Work closely with QA to identify and address areas that are not clean - Validate the cleaning practices of team members to ensure machinery is properly cleaned - Communicate any unusual occurrences or breakdowns of cleaning equipment to the supervisor and management promptly to ensure timely repairs - Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor/Quality Manager Sanitation Lead Requirements: - Lift, push, and pull 20-50lbs frequently and up to 100lbs occasionally - Stand for up to 10 hours - Basic math, computer, chart reading, and record-keeping skills - Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues - Understand production and Master Sanitation schedules - Strong leadership and problem-solving abilities - Excellent communication, time management, and work ethic - Willingness to work efficiently and safely - Ability to work independently and in a team setting - Demonstrate a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation - Excellent attendance record QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the Midwest.
