Bariatric Innovations specializes in providinggeneral surgeryandbariatric surgeryto the residents of Atlanta and the surrounding areas. Our expertise coversgastric band surgeryfor weight loss, as well as comprehensivemedical weight loss programsincorporating calorie control, activity and lifestyle education.

The Bariatric Patient Advocate will provide direct patient support and service as the practice liaison for patients receiving both general and bariatric surgery services. This individual will assist patients with financial/insurance counseling, as well as track their progress regarding surgery orientation and scheduling. The individual will also assist with bariatric seminar planning, scheduling, presenting, and referral tracking throughout the program. The individual will need to follow up with referring physicians, providing updates on the patients referred to the program.

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED

1. BA/BS preferred; or minimum five years' experience in Bariatric patient management

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED

1. Strong customer service delivery skills
2. Self-motivated, independent work skills
3. Working knowledge of government and managed care benefit structures
4. Working knowledge of Bariatric service line and strong foundation in patient support programs
5. Professional written and verbal communication skills
6. Detailed and results oriented individual
7. Strong interpersonal skills
